Dear Esteemed Learners,

WELCOME TO THE 2018/2019 ACADEMIC SESSION

On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka, FAS, the Director of University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre (UIDLC), Prof. Oyesoji Aremu and the Management of the Centre, I heartily welcome you to the 2018/2019 Academic Session on the Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode of the University of Ibadan.

I use this medium to reassure you of the Management’s resolve to make sure the advertised calendar is pursued to a logical conclusion. However, know that we cannot accomplish this without your full support.

The Management is very much aware that there are challenges of outstanding results in some programmes which is not a welcome development, given the fact that you require feedback from the said results to make academic decisions and prepare for the new session. I must assure you that concerted efforts are being made to secure the release of all outstanding results. As God helps us, this phenomenon would soon become a thing of the past as we leverage on the modest achievements of the last two sessions.

The above challenge, notwithstanding, I urge you to co-operate with the Management by doing all that is expected of you for a smooth running of the 2018/2019 academic calendar. This, among other things, require you to pay your tuition and register for your courses as and when due. Also, endeavour to attend interactive sessions and prepare adequately for your examinations (including project writing).

The Centre has developed a new Information System Portal. The platform is user friendly and ensures a seamless interaction. You can register for the session, manage your documents, register your courses, check your results and access your course materials more seamlessly than before. You are simply required to provide your matriculation number/email and password to access your account. Simply visit: dlcportal.ui.edu.ng. Your password is your last name, in lowercase (e.g. "Aremu" being your last name, your password would be "aremu"). All newly admitted students can login with their application numbers pending the time they are issued matriculation numbers.

You can now proceed to make tuition payment on dlcportal.ui.edu.ng. Login by entering your matriculation number (or application number for newly admitted students) and provide your password (surname in lowercase). Once you have logged in, some details will be requested for you to fill (e.g. Residential Address, Next of Kin, e.t.c.). Your school fee detail will appear on the Student Main Page.

There are two (2) options available in making payments. You may print your payment advice and walk into any bank to make payment or pay using your debit (ATM) card.

For the first option (paying through the bank), click MAKE PAYMENT (available on the student dashboard), then click "Continue to Socketpay" - you will then be directed to socket pay platform to make payments. Follow the procedure below:
